The Calgary Islamic School (CIS) is an accredited school with Alberta Education, operating two campuses within the greater Calgary community that primarily serve Muslim students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The CIS emphasizes high academic achievement that is based on the Alberta Curriculum, with a focus on Islamic Studies and Arabic as a Second Language. Three words summarize the CIS school vision: “Faith, Knowledge and Ingenuity.” We strive to foster outstanding academic achievement, but more importantly, we aim to develop human personalities of high moral character and conduct.
