My grandfather passed down the business to my father in 1958. As a teenager I started to learn more and more about the complexities and rewards of owning a restaurant. When I was just a young man at age 22 I decided to follow in my families footsteps and inherited my first ever restaurants. The experience I gained throughout my childhood allowed me to achieve success but as the hardships grew more and more unbearable in Somalia I was forced to shut my restaurant and immigrate to Toronto Canada. Having already had experienced the restaurant industry I decided to rejoin the business and opened up my second restaurant in May of 1994. Being able to own my own business in Toronto was a joyous experience but as the economy started to struggle so did my restaurant and as a result I decided to move to the booming city of Edmonton. In the summer of 2004 I opened up my third restaurant in downtown Edmonton. Since then I have expanded my restaurant and have built a strong connection with my customers. I am happy to serve my wonderful customers and hope to make many more enjoyable memories for the years to come.
